Our Medical Centre in East Lothian opened in September 2014. The building, constructed by Hart Builders, is extremely energy efficient with high insulation levels, a biomass boiler, solar thermal water heating and extensive solar photo-voltaic panels integrated into the roof slope and also into the full length rooflight. This has resulted in an “A” rating for energy performance and a “Silver Active” rating for Sustainability. The project was selected as a Regional Finalist in the 2015 Civic Trust Awards.
